Get paid to receive texts!

A new site has launched called CashTexts, and in short it works like this...

Advertiser pays CashTexts to send out a targeted (geographic/demographic/etc) advertisement (which, if you are unaware, are very expensive and are in high demand) that contain coupons from the advertisers (yay for saving!). CashTexts then sends the paid for amount of texts out to its users that meet the targeting requirements.

If you meet the requirement, you receive a text message and are paid $0.05 to your account for receiving the text message. You can choose how many texts you want to receive per day (you can choose between 0-5 at the moment), if you chose 5 (which is the max at the moment) you will receive 150 texts/month and earn $7.50/month, which might bring you enough to allow you to upgrade your texting plan to something that allows you a little more freedom (if you don't already have unlimited texting).

The cool thing about this program is that on top of the $7.50 that you earn yourself, you also make money off of referrals. Their referral program is 5 levels deep and it looks like this...

Level 1 : $0.05/text
Level 2 : $0.04/text
Level 3 : $0.03/text
Level 4 : $0.02/text
Level 5 : $0.01/text

That means that when your referral receives a text, you get $0.05/message as well. With one referral, your earnings double, and you even make money off of who they refer.

This of course sounds too good to be true, because with 100 referrals, in theory you would be making $750.00/month at a minimum. Note that the only information they want from you is a Name, a phone number, and an email address, moving forward, a quick google search will show you that mobile advertising costs $0.70+/message (some hide the costs in "monthly fees" and "account activation fees), so pay-outs like that aren't too far fetched, and after adding up all the referral commission that CashTexts pays out, it comes out to be a maximum of $0.40/message that they pay out. Which is profitable for them (why else would they do it), and makes it believable.

So we now know that it is possible for the site to be legit, but for all we know they still could just sell advertising to the ad companies, then run with their money and not pay people out, which is the scam that many of the "bux" sites do (if you dont know what a bux site is a few legit ones are neobux, wordlinx and clixsense

The problem with that though is that unlike a bux site, which only requires a script, hosting, and a domain (see: less than $50.00 investment), a SMS short-code + messaging service + outsourced support + all the other various things they have, add up to a multi-thousand dollar investment. This means that they would have to run the site legit for a while before they can even think about running with the money, but they are making an estimated $0.30 per message that they send out, which means that for each member, they are making at LEAST $1.50/day (some users don't have long referral lines, meaning they pay out less of their profits on those messages). $1.50/day at the current member count of 7,200 means they will be making $10,800/day just from their current users (note - they are getting 700 new members a day ಠ_ಠ )


Who on gods green earth would run from that... so scamming is just impractical. Also, from what I've gathered, big-shot online money maker named Atticus Killough (google to learn about him and his ridiculous sums of money) is one of the guys behind this program.

I could continue going on and on about how much I love this program so far, but I think I already have gone on long enough so I'll be happy to answer any questions that anybody might have.
